Detox Foot Pad Review

You’ve probably seen detox food pads on television or in the “as seen on TV” section of your local department store.  But do these detox food pads really work?  That’s a very good question.  They are supposedly based on an ancient Japanese technique that removes toxins and the like from your body while you sleep.

The concept behind detox foot pads is that the foot is one of the gateways to the rest of the body.  By placing these detox pads on the bottoms of your feet while you sleep, the natural herbs in the pads are supposed to help pull toxins out of your feet.  These toxins include things like mercury, nickel, and even arsenic.  How do they do this?  Partially by stimulating the circulation in your feet.  They are also placed on the arch of your foot, a location that stimulates the major reflexology organs of the body.  This makes them even more effective at pulling toxins out.

The pads stimulate the Kidney 1 Meridians, a part of the foot that is used in acupuncture.  This does much more than just stimulate circulation and help remove toxins.  It also promotes relaxation and helps to relieve tension in the foot.  The detox foot pads also contain wood vinegar which created what is known as the minus ion effect.  This effect opens up the pores in our feet and accelerates the body’s rate of purging toxins.

So do the detox food pads really work?  That’s a good question, and it truly depends on which foot pads you use.  Some are obviously fakes, but others have scientifically been shown to help detoxify the body and make people healthier overall.  Simply do a bit of research before you purchase the product to make certain it has been independently studied.
