BoGo Solar LED Flashlight Review
September 29, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
The BoGo Solar LED Flashlight may sound like an oxymoron—a solar flashlight? But if you need a flashlight, doesn’t that mean it’s dark? Well, not exactly.
The concept of the BoGo flashlight was actually invented to give children in developing countries the ability to study and play at night without electricity. They would simply leave the flashlight out in the sun during the day so it would charge up and then use it at night. BoGo, in fact, stands for Buy One, Give One, and every time a person purchased a BoGo light, one was donated to a child in a third world community.
The BoGo Solar LED Flashlight features six bright LEDs that can provide up to eight hours of light after they’ve been charged up for ten hours. The batteries in the flashlights will last between 750 and 1,000 nights, giving kids almost three years of study time. The flashlight is resistant to breaking and is water resistant, so it can handle just about anything kids can throw at it. It also features a glow in the dark strip so it can easily be found at night. The solar panels on the flashlight can last for up to 20 years.
The BoGo light uses three NiCad or NiMH AA rechargeable batteries to power the light, and it can be hung to provide overhead light thanks to the convenient carrying hook. Even if you’re not a child who needs light to study by, you can find uses for this great flashlight. It’s very handy in an emergency or if your electricity goes out, but of course, that’s only if you’ve charged it. If you remember to leave it out in the sun every now and then, you’ll always have a really bright flashlight around when you need one.

Recycled Plastic Trash Bags
September 29, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
It seems like we all use a lot of trash bags every week. How many bags of trash do you take out to the garbage for pickup? Two? Three? More?
Now think of how many trash bags that would be every year. It’s a huge number, and all of that plastic ends up in a landfill somewhere. However, the Seventh Generation recycled plastic trash bags are made from recycled plastic, and using them will help save a ton of resources.
According to a study, if everyone simply swapped out one box of brand new 20 tall kitchen bags with a box of recycled ones (made from 65% recycled material), it would be enough to save 3,900 barrels of oil and would cut down on 720,000 cubic feet of landfill space. It would also cut out 15,000 tons of pollution. That’s just by replacing ONE box! Imagine what would happen if every household started using recycled trash bags for all of their trash needs?
The savings only goes up if the bags are made from more recycled material. Bags made using 80% recycled materials, for example, could save 81,000 barrels of oil and cut down 30,000 tons of pollution if every household purchased a 20 count box.
These recycled plastic trash bags aren’t that much more expensive than those made from virgin plastic. They come in a variety of sizes, including 13 gallon tall kitchen bags and 33 gallon trash bags. They’re made out of tough, quality recycled plastic, too, so they won’t rip or tear easily.
Sometimes, it seems like going green requires a huge change, but there are some things we can do that are small yet have a huge impact. Changing out a box or two of traditional trash bags for recycled ones can be one of those small things. If you want to go green but aren’t sure how, this is a great place to start.
Air X Wind Turbine

When it comes to your home and renewable power, you really only have two choices: solar power and wind power. Most people go with solar power simply because it’s less intrusive, but it can be very expensive.
Wind power, while requiring turbines, may actually be cheaper. The Air X Wind Turbine, for example, can provide all the power one needs for some basic appliances and lights. You can actually use it to run your television, for example, or you can use it to charge up batteries and provide backup power if your electricity ever goes out.
With winds of 12 mph or so, the Air X Wind Turbine can generate up to 38 kilowatts of power every month. It can provide either 12, 24, or 48 voltage, allowing you to use it to power multiple items. If you need to power a cabin in the woods, a monitoring station, or any other remote location, the Air X Wind Turbine is an excellent choice. It’s also a very quiet turbine, so you won’t hear any annoying noise from it. It actually slows the blades down as it reaches its top rated output so it won’t make that fluttering noise that many turbines make in high winds. Also, the turbine has a high wind safety mode, so it will automatically slow down the turbines if the wind speed gets too high.
If you happen to live on a boat or own a boat, the Air X Wind Turbine can be very useful there, too. It’s one of the top rated wind turbines for sailboats, and it gives you great versatility in powering up any sailing vessel. It also features marine powder coating and is made from stainless steel, so you don’t have to worry about corrosion or rusting.
If you’re looking for a great alternative energy source but don’t want to deal with installing solar panels, take a look at wind power. The Air X Wind Turbine shows that you don’t need a huge propeller in your back yard to take advantage of it.

If you’re looking for a way of getting rid of your detergent allergies, the Wonder Ball is a great little invention that is sure to help you. It will get all of your clothing clean, protect you against any skin irritations you may have, and will even same you a bit of money since you won’t have to buy detergent any longer.

Most Energy Efficient Ceiling Fan
September 16, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
Are you looking for a way to save money on your energy bill? If so, there are several different options. One of these is to install a very energy efficient ceiling fan. While you may not be able to save a ton of money, using energy efficient ceiling fans can save a little bit of money.
If you figure up how many ceiling fans you have in your home, however, you may find that you can actually safe a good amount of money overall.
There are several different things to look for when shopping for an energy efficient ceiling fan. The first thing to consider is the blade size. You need to find a ceiling fan with blades that are between 50 and 56 inches long for large rooms. For medium sized rooms, 42 inches is the minimum. For a smaller room, you can get by with a fan with 32 inch blades. You need to have your fan mounted at least seven feet above the floor, although eight to nine feet is really better. The blades should have a pitch of 14 degrees to maximize the amount of air the move. Make certain the blades are not made out of solid wood or particleboard—neither is very efficient.
When it comes to controls, many may think you need a very complex ceiling fan. However, that’s not true. All you need is a basic fan setup—the simple pull chain that controls fan speed and the switch that changes the way the fan rotates is all that is necessary.
This is all that is needed to save you a little bit of money every month. These energy efficient ceiling fans may not be a way of saving a huge amount of money, but they are helpful in shaving off some cost per month and helping you save a bit on your budget.
Cost of Rinnai Tankless Water Heater
September 12, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
A tankless water heater may sound like a very odd device to many. After all, how can you have a water heater that does not have a tank to hold the water while it heats it up?
While it might sound odd, the Rinnai tankless water heater does produce a great amount of hot water with no need for a tank.
The Rinnai tankless water heaters are capable of input ratings of anywhere from 19,000 BTU/h to 237,000 BTU/h. They can produce continuous hot water—just turn on the faucet and you’ve got hot water. They can run off of electricity, natural gas, or sealed combustion units, and they feature very precise temperature control that gives you complete power over how hot the water is. The units also feature safety monitors and on-board diagnostic features so you can always see exactly how well your Rinnai tankless water heater is performing and if it is in need of repairs.
Many people find that their hot water tank takes up room in their bathrooms or other areas where it would be nice to have extra storage. A Rinna tankless water heater can actually be installed outside so you can reclaim this storage space. It’s also very easy to connect two tankless water heaters together into one unit if you need a lot of hot water available at once.
As you can see, there are several advantages to owning a tankless water heater. The price is reasonable, too, so you won’t have to worry about spending a lot of money on one of these products.
Strengthen Your Core with a Ball Chair
September 11, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
Strengthen your core while sitting! While these ball chairs may look incredibly uncomfortable or even impossible to sit on, once you’ve tried one, you’ll realize they’re easier to use than you think.
The balance ball chair is pretty much exactly what it sounds like—it’s basically a lightweight chair frame with a large ball (made from vinyl with no latex content) instead of a seat. Developed by a leading chiropractor, Dr. Randy J. Weinzoff (specialist in exercise/sports rehabilitation, and alleviation of chronic pain), these ball chairs are designed to be comfortable and provide ergonomic back support while at the same time helping you exercise (sitting at your desk). You can’t slump down or have bad posture with this chair. If you do, you may just find yourself on the floor! Instead, you’re forced to use your core muscles to keep yourself planted firmly on the ball (feet planted on the floor) and this keeps your spine in alignment like it should be.
These chairs are perfect for anyone who needs to work on their posture or who wants to get a workout while working. If you don’t have time to go to the gym, for example, using one of these ball chairs is a great way to work your core muscles while doing other tasks. You don’t even necessarily have to use the Physio Ball Chair while sitting at a desk. You can use it in your living room while watching television, reading, or working on any hobby. It’s also very good for those who have suffered from back injuries. Because it keeps the spine aligned correctly and doesn’t put any pressure on the back, it can help relieve pain from nerve compression, slipped discs, and other injuries. If you have back pain, you may find that the Ball Chair is one of the best investments you’ll ever make.
Street Legal Electric Golf Carts
September 9, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
These days, many people are looking for alternatives to automobiles. They take up a lot of fuel, plus their emissions damage the environment. In some areas, public transportation can help alleviate this damage and help save money, but this isn’t always possible.
Riding bikes or walking is an option if your destination is close by, but that’s not always the case. However, there are some unique new methods of transportation that have appeared, including street legal electric golf carts.
These golf carts simply need to be plugged in like an electric car. Once they’re charged, you can drive anywhere you want to go. What’s great is that they’re also street legal, which means you can drive these golf carts anywhere. You can use them to take your kids to school, drive down to the grocery store, or run any other types of errands with them. Because they don’t use standard fuel, you won’t spend nearly as much.
There’s another type of electric golf cart that is really useful as well. These are golf carts with that feature solar roof kits. These kits will charge up your carts battery while it sits in the sun, so there’s no need to charge up your cart by plugging it in. While you may not be able to get all of your cart’s power from sunlight, it does help dramatically decrease the amount of energy you need.
There are various different solar powered golf carts that are street legal, although most are only legal on streets that have a speed limit of 35 mph or less. However, this is acceptable is most residential areas. While you won’t be able to take your golf cart out on the highways or main streets, you can probably find legal streets that will allow you to get to most locations.
Reiki Equipment
September 9, 2009 by anthony · Leave a Comment
Reiki is a special type of massage developed in the 1920s. It was designed to help a person relax and reduce their stress via a laying on of hands by a trained professional. During a Reiki session, a person lies on a massage table while the practitioner places their hands over certain parts of their body. The practitioner will hold his or her hands on each part of your body for a few minutes.
One interesting aspect of Reiki is that it is not massage—the practitioner does not actually touch you. Instead, they help your natural Reiki, or life force, energy flow to where it should. That is, of course, if you believe in the concept of Reiki.
Whether or not you believe in it, Reiki has a fairly good sized following, and those that practice Reiki need certain pieces of equipment. The major piece of equipment is, of course, the massage table. While Reiki is not actually a massage, the same kind of table is still used. This cushioned table allows the patient to relax and breathe easily while the Reiki professional performs the energy manipulation.
There are some other options to buying expensive massage tables. For example, a massage mat can provide the required cushioned table. These mats can be placed on any bed or other surface. The massage mat isn’t body length, but it does include a foot bolster to help handle lower back stress and a face rest. These mats can be used for things other than Reiki, of course, and those who do not practice Reiki may actually want to have a massage mat for other uses. If you want to have a nice, relaxing massage, for example, having one of these mats will be useful.
